Bandy Heritage Center to open new exhibition

On Saturday, February 4, 2017, the Bandy Heritage Center will open a new exhibit Through the Lens of War: One Marine's Odyssey at the Creative Arts Guild located at 520 West Waugh Street in Dalton, Georgia.

This collection of never-before published photographs traces the experience of First Lieutenant Andrew Waskey during the battle of Iwo Jima and post-war occupation duty in Japan. These photographs provide a graphic view of combat and a candid look into the lives of American servicemen and Japanese civilians as these former enemies worked together to rebuild war-torn Japan.

The exhibition will remain on display through February 24, 2017. The Creative Arts Guild is open Monday-Thursday 10:00am-6:00pm, Friday 10:00am-4:30pm, and Saturday 10:00am-4:00pm. See More
