Over Here and Over There: Georgia and Georgians in World War II.

Comprised of 18 interpretive text panels, interactive artifact stations, ship and airplane models, and a military diorama, this exhibit explores the daily lives of Georgians on the home front and battle front during the Second World War. The exhibit provides a unique examination of Georgia’s citizens and their contributions to the war effort as well as localized, regional studies of the diverse civilian and military assets the state provided to the nation.

Gateway to the South: Remembering the Dixie Highway

The Bandy Heritage Center for Northwest Georgia has prepared a traveling exhibit commemorating the Dixie Highway. This exhibit consists of photographs illustrating topics such as tourism, advertisement, and business along the Dixie highway.

Thread By Thread: Northwest Georgia's Tufted Textile Heritage

The Bandy Heritage Center for Northwest Georgia has prepared a traveling exhibit commemorating Northwest Georgia’s tufted textile heritage. This exhibit explores the evolution of the tufted bedspread industry into the tufted carpet industry through the use of photographs from the Bandy Center's historic Carpet and Rug Institute photograph collection.

Losing the War, Winning the Peace: The Art of the Lost Cause

The Bandy Heritage Center for Northwest Georgia has prepared a traveling exhibit exploring the genesis, growth, and legacy of the “Lost Cause” mythology. This exhibit examines the evolving role of art in interpreting the Civil War through a Confederate perspective.
