Bandy Heritage Center to host 2017 Dixie Highway symposium and open new exhibit

On Friday, April 21, 2017, the Bandy Heritage Center for Northwest Georgia will host the 2017 Dixie Highway symposium “Dixie Highway: Gateway to the South” in Room 105 of the James E. Brown Center on the campus of Dalton State College. Three prominent speakers will discuss aspects of the Dixie Highway and its impact on the social and economic development of the South. The lectures will begin at 9:00am and conclude at 11:45am followed by a discussion panel. After the symposium, the Bandy Heritage Center will open its new exhibit Headin’ South: Driving the Dixie Highway at 1:00pm at the Old Dalton Freight Depot Gallery located at 305 S. Depot St. in Dalton, GA. Both of these events are free and open to the public.
