As the new Director of the Bandy Heritage Center and B.J. and Dicksie Bandy Chair in American History at Dalton State College, Matthew Gramling brings over five years of experience in museum operations and archival management, having served cultural heritage organizations across Northwest Georgia including the Chieftan's Museum/Major Ridge Home, the Bartow History Museum, and Etowah Valley Historical Society. A Northwest Georgia native, Gramling has a natural passion for the material and cultural history that makes Nortwest Georgia so unique as a region.His vision for the Bandy Heriage Center is to enhance its institutional visibility as the premier public history organization in Northwest Georgia.
