Bandy Heritage Center hosts Georgia Trail of Tears Association

The Georgia Division of the Trail Of Tears Association (TOTA) held it's 2024 general meeting in the Bandy Center's reading room on Saturday, March 9. After a presentation on the Center's history and mission and a tour of the facility, TOTA members discussed ongoing and future plans for expanding the organization's membership and preservation efforts. Major areas of discussion were the status of the current collection now accessioned within the Bandy Center's archives, the preservation process, and how to increase research opportunities tor anyone interested in studying the Trail of Tears.
