Bandy Heritage Center

Learn

The Bandy Heritage Center curates exhibits from our collections for display in our archival research and preservation facility on the campus of Dalton State and at the Whitfield County Courthouse. Our largest semi-permanent exhibit, highlighting Dalton’s hand-tufted chenille manufacturing heritage, is viewable at Dalton’s Historic 1911 Freight Depot, located at 305 S. Depot Street and operated by the Dalton Convention & Visitors Bureau.

We also maintain several traveling exhibits of interest to regional partners, focusing respectively on Dalton’s chenille manufacturing heritage, the city’s place along the historic Dixie Highway, the region’s place in the Second World War, and other topics. For more information about our traveling exhibits or to arrange receipt of a traveling exhibit, please contact us at: Bandyheritagecenter@Daltonstate.Edu
